I tend to stick with sub sandwich restaurants because I'm not a big salad eater and every time I visit a place like Longhorn's I end up eating all the high calorie menu items.
With Subway coupons I don't ever have the pressure of wanting or having to eat non-nutritional foods as a lot of my friends do; hey, they can do it because they're skinny! I've been trying to keep my weight down and I have found that subs are a great way to help me accomplish this, except when I break down and have the meatball sandwich!
Still, here's how you can set yourself on a nice, long path to having extra money by using coupons for virtually anything:
- Start by using those printable Subway coupons I've been bragging about. Never leave home or work without them. Once you pocket the savings, figure out a way to drop that money saved into either an envelope or piggy bank in a secure place. You can keep the money saved right there until the end of the month when you can open up a money market savings account specifically for your "couponing".
- Once you've got the hang of it, next Sunday that rolls around, start cutting out coupons you can use. The best way to do this is to make a grocery list of all the items you need and if you're flexible, you may be able to pick the Post cereal which you have a coupon for over your favorite General Mills cereal. I have found that by trying new products, which coincidentally is why manufacturers offer these discounts, I occasionally discover a much better product than the one I've been consuming. Anyway, try to match the coupons to as many items as you have on your list.
- Next, one by one, go down your list of items and try finding a coupon for each one on the Internet by typing that particular brand and item into the Google search box. Soon you'll start finding your favorite web sites that carry coupons you need and you can bookmark those sites for future use.
Using the above method, there's no reason why you can't shave off at least 30-40% off your grocery bill. Now, couple that with the saving from your printable Subway coupons and don't be surprised if you save $200-$300 this month alone!
